Among our collection of skilled florists and floral enthusiasts are those who have had the honours of having works that have moved people. Just as they have inspired us, we hope that they inspire you with their accomplishments too.

Darwin Canlas – From Architect to Floral Designer

Darwin Canlas was an architect in the Philippines prior to his current position as a Senior Florist in FarEast Flora.com. His passion for art and design made him switched roles to become a floral artist.

Upon his arrival in Singapore, he signed up for an on-the-job training in floristry with FarEastFlora.com. He had to restart and learn the new skills that came with floristry. It was tough in the early stages but Darwin has finally achieved success and is now the pride of FarEastFlora.com. His most memorable joy was when he received the Merit Award in the International FDSS Cup Floral Designing Competition in 2012.

He has been actively involved in designing the floral work you see in the FarEastFlora.com catalogs. Because of his creative flair, he is often tasked to create customised designs for corporate clients.

Darwin has been inspired by modern art and his floral creations always display that tinge of structures and modernity flanked by grandeur and elegance.

Under the tutelage of Ms Christina Pang, Darwin Canlas has progressed tremendously in his floral development and this is evident in his floral works.

Vivian Teo – A Passion in Floral Designing with the touch of tradition

Vivian Teo actually started off her career in the computer industry but due to her overwhelming love of flowers she pursued her career as a floral designer. Under the guidance of Ms Christina Pang, Vivian Teo has come a long way in the Floral Art World.

Her greatest pride was when she won a Merit Award in the International FDSS Cup Floral Designing Competition 2012 that was held in conjunction with the Singapore Garden Festival.

Vivian is an Associate Instructor with Creativeworkz and has conducted practical floristry for the public as well as external workshops for clients on the occasion of their product launch events.

She has also presented creative ideas with the innovative use of structures and flowers at the Creativeworkz Certificate Presentation Ceremony in 2012. Her show pieces were cleverly combined with flowers and plants symbolic to Lunar New Year.

Dayna Lawadinata – the Future Generation of Floral Designers

Dayna's love for arts has also developed into the arena of floral designing. Without any prior knowledge in floral arrangement, Dayna participated in the International Youth Floral Art Competition 2012 upon receiving intensive training from Ms Christina Pang. Winning a merit prize at this competition further fuelled her interest in acquiring more floral designing know-how. Now, Dayna regularly attends floral classes at Creativeworkz in spite of her busy study schedule.
